American Election 2012: Tales of Two Americas

This weeks US presidential election confirmed the thoughts of many thinkers. America's party system is declining faster than anyone believed. Political polarisation and bitterness is dragging the US back to mid 19th century. Issues are not about slavery or economic self interest but a systemic crisis which challenges every major revolutionary period. With this Democratic election victory, an existential split in US society is cemented between those who seize progress with social change and those afraid to grasp a reality that to stay in the past, is to be lost there forever.

Tales of Two Americas symbolised in Democratic
liberal expression and Republican fundamentalism.
Can God save the Grand Old Party from terminal decline.
Against today's backdrop of a worst recession since the great depression, by any book, the Grand Old Party (GOP) should have won over the President. It was there for the taking. The presidents men knew this. In a carefully planned campaign they simply underscored the obvious. America's future is no longer white and fundamentalist. America has reignited its original multi-cultural roots for renewed global status. Democrats know the Republican party can only enter into terminal decline as post election reaction in that party swings more and more towards Christian fundamentalism and certain death.

Lets face it; who in their right mind wants to follow a Mormon President. Mitt Romney is not just a church member in name like most people today. No, he is a disciple and a preacher. That means he believes in some of the most incredible, far fetching notions ever served up to mankind in the form of an organised religion. A cocktail of bewildering fantasy which makes Star Trek and Harry Potter look a slow day in parliament.

America is divided. But one side has a future while the other is consigned to fade and wither over time. As the current Republican party dies from old age, Democrats grow with youth and modernity.

You will never hear a Republican president speak ever again “God Bless America” and actually believe in it.

EU Crisis: Division, Suspicion, Mistrust, Why Don't You Leave

It is a sad fact that the EU is breaking down under the strain of bad leadership. There is no one person or country to blame but rather the obsession in quarters of the Troika bureaucratic monster to take total control over European destiny. Federalism has been told time and time again that it is not welcome and time and time again Federalists respond with arrogance, denial and condescending remarks that they know better.

“Did they get the peace prize for straight bananas.”
remarked a German lady.
While a European commission spokesperson
has declared bi lingual burger flippers
unfit to work for the Brussels gravy train.
United in Diversity” is now
but an empty ironic phrase. image 2012
This month a bewildering choice by the Oslo peace committee to award the EU (read; leg up for EU Federalism) was met with an almost universal shaking of heads. As one German lady remarked “What did they get it for? Straight Bananas.”

Eurozone leaderships pays humble homage to the Troika "dogs of financial terror."  IMF, E.U. commission, E.C.B. If this is how they treat their own then how will they behave if and when they get their sought after European army. They now demand a financial overlord to dictate national budgets. It will be just all figures and to hell with social order. Art of Superstate needs a clean out. This current EU is just plain fickle and the Federalist plan just plain dangerous to follow.
As one of the "dogs of financial terror," ECB's Mario Draghi, recently declared to the press,

"Countries will have to transfer part of their sovereignty to the European level. (Troika). Several governments have not yet fully understood that they lost their national sovereignty long ago when they ran up huge debts. They are now dependent on the goodwill of the financial markets," the "financial terror chief" said.
Meantime Brussels foot soldiers are clamouring for rises to their budgets and huge salaries, to be paid for by those they force to belt tighten.
An EU Commission official politely put it, "Because of language requirements, we are better educated than national civil servants. We're high fliers not burger flippers."
However the fight to save democracy  is still on. Some countries such as the UK are planning their escape. Others are pondering over the course the EU is heading and whether it is dragging Europe apart.
Since the new age of democracy it has been understood citizens shall chose who governs them.
"Let us never forget that government is ourselves and not an alien power over us. The ultimate rulers of democracy are not presidents, senators or government officials, but voters.” Franklin D Roosevelt 1938.
Technocrats and plutocrats may scoff at this as idealistic fantasy but they too should remember that regime change is also at the hand of the Mob.

EU Crisis: Nobel Sides With E.U. A Prize Too Far or Clever Thinking.

Naming the European Union winner of the Nobel peace prize 2012 gives much need moral boost to Brussels Federalists. The prize was awarded on the basis of past work to establish peace after the horrors of European civil wars. Most of this sterling work was prior to forming the EU in 1993. It is right and fitting leaders of post war Europe are honoured for their fantastic efforts. Europeans are grateful. But alas this prize was not given to Europe but to the European Union, which in the eyes of the majority of its citizens, is now but a pseudonym for bureaucratic Federalist institutions based in Brussels. Institutions perceived as dividing not uniting, punishing not helping and most of all detached and devoid of anchors to present reality.
SIEG FRIEDEN "Victorious Peace." Reactions range from bizarre to well deserved.
The Oslo based peace prize to the EU may divide rather than unite. 2012

Whom of the internally appointed presidents will rush to Oslo to claim the laurel. No doubt all three will want to go and produce a mistake on a colossal scale.

In the midst of unpopular technocrats, a harmful crisis some refer to as “financial war” and waning trust in the purpose of the European project, non federalist will interpret the award as very bad timing and taking sides in an effort to shore up fledgling Brussels reputations.

It is noble to applaud past achievements. It is toxic to side with failure. For it is under the watch of the current three Brussels presidents that Europe is vastly divided in hearts and minds over whether Citizens should follow them any further.

If these presidents have any sense of strategy left they should renounce any attempt to make political capital for the federalist cause and allow all Europeans to win a sense of thought over why the board made their choice. It would be bitter irony, if on December 10th, would be Emperors were in Oslo collecting a peace prize while nations were being racked by civil strife and fire from Athens to Madrid. A situation some incorrectly regard as a creation of Federalists policy.

EU Crisis: Resistance to Brussels Rule Spreads Through Europe

What began as lone voices of dissent against Art of Superstate some decades past, has become a contagion of resistance sweeping across Europe.

As nights grow shorter, so does patience within national states towards Brussels Federalists. UK clamours an opportunity to cast a decisive vote on EU membership. Greece continues to tilt at the edge of chaos. Spain mulls over its existence as a unitary state. France is exposed as a fearful weak link in the status quo. And even Germania Magna sees real danger ahead.

Still Brussels Federalists sing lofty songs about union and dreamy futures. Can they be so right. Can they be so far sighted. This October 2012, the Irish Dail (parliament) hosted a new leader from the European parliament lauding desires for more and more solidarity. Solidarity, to no surprise, was clearly just not there.

Excerpts: Speech from the leader of the European Parliament Martin Schultz.

Your nation's tumultuous history, marked by many highs and lows, is the embodiment of the European experience. Ireland has lived through so much of the European experience......

But it's easy to be pro-European when times are good. - true commitment is proven when times get tough.
A parliament devoid of substance. Chancellor Angela Merkel holding the centre
calls the shots in Europe today. Can the European Parliament grow to protect citizens
from  a power hungry EU commission. Image 2012

The biggest risk for Europe is the lack of mutual trust. Democracy lives when people know that they can take decisions about their lives.... We elected politicians are called upon to win back their trust!

Ladies and gentlemen, please allow me to say some words on a trend that is worrying me deeply. Times such as these, times of crises are always times of the executive. (read: EU IMF ECB bureaucrats, autocrats & technocrats).

Parliaments are increasingly seen as an annoying waste of time - they are not! Parliaments are the guarantors of democracy. We together have to ward off attempts by the executive to curtail the key prerogative of parliaments: the right to adopt a budget.

Today, in Europe we are all in the same boat. Either we all sail together or we all sink separately. Solidarity is in all our best interest. From the crisis we have learned that we need more European cooperation.

Excerpts:The Response from Sinn Fein's Gerry Adams.

Jose Manuel Barroso in his “State of the Union” address to the European Parliament several weeks ago confirmed that a federal Europe is the ultimate goal of the EU Commission.

We in our party (Sinn Fein) have consistently raised concerns in previous referendum campaigns that Irish sovereignty was being undermined and that we were being pushed toward a federal Europe.

The Irish people have never even been consulted on this. We talk about the democratic deficit. The people of this state, the people of this island, have never been consulted on that issue

So, I welcome very much your comments about the need for greater democratisation of EU institutions but there needs to be a recognition in Brussels there is no mandate and there is no popular will in this state for a European super state – a United States of Europe.

EU Crisis: Funny Money Is Back In the Ring For A Bad Joke.

Validity and trust in the European project continues to evaporate, while the Euro project steers divisions towards 19th Century levels. Can today's leaders claim they are doing sterling work.

Spain is on the brink of sliding to serious civil disorder not seen since the days of Franco. The response from the northern core countries, (Germany, Finland, Netherlands) is to protect their bankers and loans. Solidarity is all but an empty word. Europe is sliding backwards.

"Two parallel lines aim to emphasis the stability of the currency" reads the caption on this
original design for the Euro. A bad joke, bad management or just funny money. 2012.
Anger and resentment is sadly mounting against the European project. Forced bailouts on proud nations are interpreted as fiscal imperialism. “Give me control of a nation's money supply and I care not who makes it's laws” said Mayer Amschel Rothschild, the original illuminate banker in the 18th century. Each day new banking scandals disclose sheer arrogance surrounding this industry. Taxpayers are forced to fund iconic towers to banking dominance in Frankfurt, while remitting citizens to financial serfdom in parts of Europe.

It's a race for bankers to get rich and richer, at all costs. We, as a society, need to be increasingly vigilant. Bankers cheat and swindle. Politicians fib. Corporations exploit. But it is society which determines outcomes, eventually. And, most often, violently. Europe needs to communicate with its citizens and recognise citizens will protect their turf and democracy also at all costs. Brussels has not proved a leadership of merit, as this crisis has shown. Its seeking more and more powers, as an excuse to do better, will not cut it with most young or older voters.

There is no such thing as a European Nation regardless of comical ideological dreams in Brussels. Collaboration between Confederate Nations of Europe is as good as it gets for now and the foreseeable future as a tale of crisis rumbles on and on.

End of Dimension, Art of Superstate: The Long Euro Struggle to Continue.

This is the week it all changed. The week when finally the pursuit of a European Superstate was denied. The week when Europe split into those federalists who lost the debate for unconditional Unity of Europe and those who hear citizens protests demanding protection for their traditional identity and culture over a half baked notion to Europeanise 27 distinct countries.
The Brussels commissioner performed a chameleon act to placate steam rolling populist calls to degrade the European Union. Barroso calls for a Federation of Nation States, not a Superstate. Who will follow these people often labelled as arrogant, inward thinking and who ignored warning signals for so long.

The break-up has begun. Europe is to develop organically as it has always done and will be. Observers do not believe Barroso and other Federalists have abandoned their goal for Superstate. They wait for better times and for the people to come to their senses. Brussels for now is a capital for a “Tribe of Dreams.”
EU's Barroso declares  European Superstate a bankrupt ambition.  It's all or nothing in the Euro rescue.
New mechanisms are created to fight financial markets and support the periphery. Image Brussels 2012.

The commission president stated in a State of the Union address, “Today I call for a federation of nation states. Not a superstate. …...A decisive deal for Europeto project our values, our freedom and our prosperity into the future of a globalist world. This decisive deal would maintain the integrity of the Union and show the irreversibility of the Euro. A deal that requires the completion of a deep and genuine economic union, based on a political union.”

"We must use the 2014 election to mobilise all pro-European forces. We must not allow the populists and the nationalists to set a negative agenda. We need no more walls dividing us! We will start from the principle that deeper integration will not be just for some. No one will be forced to come along. And no one will be forced to stay out.”
It is precisely this style of contradictory language which fed the chambers of Euroskeptics blasting the argument for more Europeanisation. In other words this speech is just another rant for the ”Tribe of Dreams” towards a direction not all wish to take.
Whatever secret deals are done behind closed doors in Luxembourg and Brussels, the game is still the same. Brussels hopes for a return to Art of Superstate while nations states work to rescue the Euro and build a Confederate Nations of Europe. Brussels is saying anything to be heard. And the response. More skepticism.

EU Crisis: The Euro Gale Surges Higher and Higher

The Euro situation in Europe is firmly political, with roots in the reunification of Germany in 1990, a year after the fall of the Berlin Wall. It is claimed France insisted on currency union (Euro) for its approval to that event and that everyone, including France, knew they were putting the cart before the horse. This trade off is still denied in certain German political circles.
Today's Europe questions the doctrine of closer political and currency union in the face of skepticism to Brussels’s dictatorial approaches to sell them a Superstate. Citizens see social- political changes happening organically for Europe's sovereign nations since the end of the Cold War. Brussels's has lost the use of war paranoia to further the Federalist cause.
Insults gather pace. The centre cannot hold but Brussels says it will
convince the people a United Federalist Europe is the best way forward.
Reality is different as citizens look to protect what they have
and what they know. The media reacts in Berlin and Athens Aug 2012.
It only takes a child to cry “the Emperor has no clothes” for people to join and applaud the obvious. The long held EU dogma, Europe's destiny lies in political and currency union, is no longer sacrament amongst nation states. Across the continent intellectuals are preparing for a redefined European Union where old taboos about loyalty to the project are questioned and redrawn.
Was France right to put the cart before the horse in 1989 knowing we would reach this discussion point eventually over currency and political union. Was this just luck or far sighted good judgement by François Mitterrand . In other words, was the Euro and the Euro zone just a tool to create a stable democratic Germany.
How hard will Chancellor Angela Merkel's calls for closer European Unity, which Helmut Kohl had proposed back in 1989, fall on the ears of today's France given that Germany is no longer a military threat and one of Europe's strongest democracies. What can Chancellor Merkel gain by such calls over universal doubts (including German) to such moves. Does she provoke a clear rejection by the nation states so the Euro can be put to sleep and a new phase in Europe's journey be awakened.
The Circus is in town, 2012
Politicians are increasingly dividing over Europe's direction. Former EU commissioner and technocrat leader of Italy Mario Monti declared "There are many manifestations of populism that are aimed at disunity in nearly all the member states." While Spain's former premier Jose Maria Aznar believes “It is a very serious mistake to try to destroy the nation states. You cannot go against the cultural beliefs of the people and the forces of history. A United States of Europe is an impossible idea."
What is certain is the EU is no longer the golden dream of Europe's citizens. Nationalism is back in favour and any future federation clearly uncertain. The Brussels Bubble is now perceived by millions as a Brussels Circus.

Europe's Bright Future: As Good as it Gets

An Essay on Europe. By Martin Nangle

“Jews know why this wall was built,” he said. I looked at him. This young man who had engaged a conversation was most likely the only person on the Berlin tram that crisp '89 November morning who thought as such.
I was there as a photojournalist enjoying the electric buzz of the fall. A generation removed from the European War, I did not share his dangers of German reunification.
At the heart of Europe's future, Germany 2012 is split on which direction
Europe should take. A time for agreed unity. Picture Nov '89
It was the end of history. No not history. The end of “A” history. History does not stand still, it comes to a concurrent conclusion by sowing the seed for a new one.
It's remarkable to experience the birth of ones own history and the closing of the previous one started by my grandfather's generation. He was captured at the Somme in 1916 and sat out that conflict on a farm in Southern Germany. Lucky for him and lucky for me. I suppose.

What my mind discovered, walking the streets of Berlin over the following days, was a simple description of one's own history. It belongs to a couple of generations, if it is not your story then it is not your responsibility and getting involved is a mostly matter of choice.
What I didn't consider was the man's statement on the tram. That came later during my tours of post Soviet Empire, The Levant, Yugoslavia and Brussels..........continued on http://martinnangle.blogspot.co.uk/p/europes-bright-future-as-good-as-it-gets.html

Anna Ardin and Julian Assange: Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Truth

The Accuser;

Anna Ardin, the woman at the centre of the Julian Assange Swedish rape allegations is a very interesting person to say the least. According to a youtube entry supporting the Assange camp she is awarded the following credentials.
  • Ms Ardin is a press officer with a Swedish Labour Party Newspaper and was the person who invited Julian Assange to Sweden in that context.
  • She is a radical Feminist with a highly personal agenda.
  • A very religious person and a supporter of a religious branch of the Swedish SDP party called the the Brotherhood Movement. (Now named Faith & Solidarity).
  • Together with her female lover or girlfriend, Ms Sophie Wilen they conspired to entrap Assange and have him sent to prison. Ms Ardin publicly describes herself as a lesbian on her old website.
  • Ms Ardin invited Assange the day following the alleged rape to join her for a dinner.
  • That the whole episode is a carefully arranged plot between Sweden and the US to capture Assange, have him moved to the US where he can be punished for leaking cables harming US political and military interests.
  • That Ardin has clear connections with the CIA.

A yarn of kiss and tell, the raping of a consenting Lesbian with a male monster,
a political honey trap or an act of revenge by government on free speech.
Anna Ardin and Julian Assange, are celebrities on the international stage, 2012
Ms Ardin describes herself on her blog as;

A political scientist, communicator, entrepreneur and freelance writer, I am also a libertarian feminist, Methodist and animal rights activist from Gotland.

Politically, I am chairman of Heart Believers, An association of socialists believers of all religions in the Stockholm area. We support
  • International politics of solidarity and justice working against racism and fear to talk about religion.

I am anti-racist spokesperson for Faith & Solidarity (formerly the Brotherhood movement),  a group of 3000 members and member of the International league of religious socialists.
  • Our political idea is utopian. It is based on God's boundless grace and thus inviolability. Every person, regardless of what she has suffered, no matter what she herself has been guilty of, is entitled to mercy and forgiveness, to redress and a dignified life.

The Swedish Law on Rape:

Sweden has three categories of ’rape’:
  • gross rape (4-10 years imprisonment), ordinary rape (2-4 years imprisonment), minor rape (0-4 years imprisonment)
  • Present Swedish law identifies all men as potential rapists. When someone has sex with a person that is in a helpless state because of unconsciousness, sleep or being under the influence of drugs, it will be considered to fall under rape.
  • Swedish law considers unprotected sex as rape.

The Accused and the Accusations;

  • It is under these headings Assange faces charges. He had consensual sex with the women but during the encounter over two days the women say he committed the above breaches. Should the women be proved to have indeed planned and executed a politically motivated honey trap to harm Assange they will most likely walk free resulting in handing Ardin, a radical feminist activist, a licence to lie.
  • Assange, if convicted, can face the rest of his life under duress and torment for a "dispute over consensual but unprotected sex." Assuming he is extradited to the US
  • How this rape accusation is substantiated without the partner being conscious is bewildering. Should the partner wake up/sober up during contact then it makes sense to have a clear discussion about the matter. After all Ardin describes herself as a communicator quoting Every person, regardless of what she has suffered, no matter what she herself has been guilty of, is entitled to mercy and forgiveness, to redress and a dignified life.

Either way it is all its a bit of a passion killer and hardly the legitimate stuff of government diplomatic flurry and inquisition.

Decline and Fall, Christianity Lashes Out: Political Double Standards Flourish.

Julian Assange disclosed the use of outright murder by American forces in Iraq. For that he is not the messenger of protest and the need for change but an Enemy of the State. Pussy Riot exposed the extending brutishness and extremism over Russian intellectual life by a ruling political Mafia. For that action they are not a messenger of protest and need for change, but an Enemy of the State.

State and Church, protectors or instruments of  repression. Political double standards flourish
across the World as governments pursue the messengers of State crime. Picture Krakow 2009
The State everywhere holds the same double standards to protect itself from the prying eyes of the people. Assange faces dubious charges over the use of a condom during consensual sex with two women in Sweden. He is currently being castigated by Swedish, UK and US politicians. The familiar pre demonetization process before a show trial and his subsequent torment as an Enemy of the State. The Moscow Three will be no doubt humiliated by a regime who think it right to treat political prisoners as they wish.

Such behaviour can be partly individual human nature. But as an instrument of social control its the product of arrogant State power and the influence of institutions like State Christianity; a cruel and superstitions religious built on punishment and retribution. Christianity, its shameful history is well documented. God and State must be obeyed and those who protest incarcerated and punished accordingly.

As Western society evolves en mass towards a new religion of Science, Fact and Discovery, Christianity in a few generations will claim its rightful place as the most evil religion that ever existed. It will will take longer to destroy the Mafia State.

Sovereign Nations Looking More Like Home. More Europe Reaches New Lows.

It was always going to be a hard sell. It was always about the test, the probation period to see if it could work. The push to forge a European Superstate, (the Europe Project), has hit new lows in popularity with Europeans. Cry our beloved countries sings ever louder over Le Place de Luxembourg in Brussels.

It was the brainchild and baby of post war political elites. Some would cast doubt on whether there is anything at all elitist about today's federalist technocrats. One thing is for sure, this bunch have messed it up big time.

Trust in Europe's Federalist Elites has all but evaporated as citizens find renewed faith in the
national spirit. Banking becomes the most despised of professions. Image Frankfurt 2012.
When did anything grandiloquent performed by pretentious civil servants ever succeed without the approval of society. Even the Soviet Union flourished and died on this principal.

Failure to perform effectively has suddenly left sovereign independent nations looking more like a safer home for families, their culture and their future. More Europe looks increasing like a menace to individual freedom and more of a home to those who worship power and money.

The elitist few are totally to blame, failing to effectively direct the ship when it entered choppy waters in 2010. And there is worst to come in the Euro crisis, regardless of the huff puff blowing from the Eurotower in Frankfurt's Kaiserstrasse.

Who will follow the Euro to a destruction of their beloved countries. Italy is not a weak dependent economy like Greece. Spain can split apart and Catalonia is still stronger than Greece. Struggles for national independence is embedded in folklore and culture across the continent. The original strategy to frighten Europeans during crisis into a united Europe is having the opposite effect. Art of Superstate needs to rid itself of the Brussels Bubble, change political course and engage citizens in meaningful dialogue about self determination. The federalist dream is now the political nightmare of the old, the vain and the rich. We are talking decades to correct the mistakes of these so called Elites.

Great Brits Lift the World to a Golden Summer.

It has been described by some as an elitist event. How many people actually sail fancy boats or train excellent horses in dressage. (dancing horses). Why are Asian and African traditional sports not included. How come so many top athletes are from private schools. Is the Olympics simply a rich Western gathering to celebrate its existence, character and sporting personality.

Maybe some of this is there but the real nature of the Olympics is meritocracy. It is said great talent has a way of rising naturally to the top. This is true of most sports. In many ways sport is still a passage to a multikulti environment where one's talents is respected regardless of race, gender or colour.

Jessica Ennis and Mo Farah delight the home crowd during the worlds most popular
sporting event in London 2012.
Time was when Roman games occupied the imagination of its citizens. In A.D. 107, Emperor Trajan entertained the people of Rome with a military victory extravaganza in the Colosseum. It lasted 123 days during which 11,000 animals died and 5000 pairs of gladiators fought each other in cruel combat.

Today's games are a relatively infant project having begun in Athens in 1896. Then just nine sports were scheduled. London 2012 hosted its extravaganza with thirty-six disciplines to delight the world. It represents a truly acceptable face for globalisation through diversity and co-operation.

Everything is politics” said Thomas Mann. “It has been called Art of the possible. It is a realm akin to art, insofar as like art, it occupies a creative mediating position between spirit and life, the idea and reality.”

Three weeks of peace fun and entertainment bring us together as one species, one planet, one life. Global sporting games are the new mediating position between the idea and reality. Romans, eat your heart out. Those damned barbarians have done it again.

EU Crisis: German Parliament Sparks a Firestorm Over Defense of Democracy. Euro on the Run.

The Italian technocrat Mario Monti was part of the Jaques Santer commission forced to resign en mass in 1999 over corruption and nepotism charges.

Mr Monti's latest outburst is seemingly against democracy. He calls for leaders to dilute accountability to their parliaments over the Euro crisis. The Euro is everything to the Brussels Federalists. No loose talk of failure please.

"If governments” he said in a recent Der Spiegel interview, “allow themselves to be entirely bound to the decisions of their parliament, without protecting their own freedom to act, a break up of Europe would be a more probable outcome than deeper integration."

This has forced the German Bundestag to stand up against what is generally regarded as a technocrat/banker plot to rail road Europe into a system described by philosopher Jürgen Habermas as “Post-Democratic Executive Federalism.”

Sparks spread a firestorm of heated words over Mario Monti and his comments
that Democracy should be sacrificed for the sake of saving the Euro.
Foto: Deutscher Bundestag Lichtblick/Achim Melde Platz der Republik  2010
If this were to happen then at best a return to freedom fighter/revolutionary activity is assured. Such activists are easy to find but it looks like responsible managers for Executive Federalism isn't so easy.

The scathing report on the E.U. Santer commission released March 15th 1999 paints the picture why citizens are reluctant or unwilling to follow such a Tribe of Dreams into the Federalist unknown.

There was growing reluctance of the Commissioners to acknowledge any guilt and that It was becoming increasingly difficult to find anyone who had the slightest sense of responsibility."

Could this be a reason the European Project is destined to fail if it stays on its present course. In the words of one irate Berlin politician “We must make it clear to Mr Monti that we Germans (read Europeans) will not shut down our democracy to pay Italian debts.”(read save the Euro)

Summer madness is in full swing.

E.U. Crisis: Brussels Corruption Gravy Train Rules OK. Freedom is Just Another Word...

It is this time of the year our leaders take off for August holidays. The citizens are left alone with recreational rioting or violence of sorts. Lazy hazy commentators are free to help fill this void with unlimited imaginative speculation. So here we go.
After Mario Draghi's bravado announcement to “Save the Euro with whatever it takes,” its now the turn of Italy's Mario Monti to pitch his 5 cents worth.

Described by the London Daily Telegraph as the De Facto Prime Minister of the Eurozone Latin Block, this unelected official has Rome in his pocket and hoping to soon bag Madrid. But who are these guys who run or say they run Europe.

The Good the Bad and the yet to arrive. Ten champions of the people
or merely Capos to a corrupt institution.
History will judge: 2012
The story goes back to 1999. Jaques Santer, a former Luxembourg prime minister, had 20 people in his commission. Some of his crew of wiseguys were into fraud and corruption. They got caught out. This famous story was highlighted through one former prime minister of France, Edith Cresson, who was accused of nepotism. She gave her dentist a plum job in her department and he salted a pile of dosh.

After the mass resignation none of the crew was found guilty of any criminal behaviour. All got to keep their gold plated pensions with benefits.

The affair was investigated and a report was produced on March 15, 1999. Presented to the Commission and Parliament, it largely cleared most members, aside from Cresson, but concluded that there was growing reluctance of the Commissioners to acknowledge any guilt and that "It was becoming increasingly difficult to find anyone who had the slightest sense of responsibility."

What a game these technocrats were able to play with European Democracy. So where are these wiseguys today.

Edith Cresson, is off the map as are most of the (innocent) crew who included local names such as Neil Kinnock, Padraig Flynn (later disgraced) and Leon Brittan. Some retired, some went back to work and some have passed away.

But some top fatcats from this wiseguys commission who gave the orders and ran operations are still about.

Erkki Liianen, then in charge of Budgets Personnel and Administration went on to become the Governor of the Bank of Finland. He is also Member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank and Governor of the International Monetary Fund for Finland

Jaques Santer, capo de capo of the commission was recently rehabilitated and reinstated as head the Special Purpose Investment Vehicle. In effect a fund raising body for the E.U. This action was described by a UK politician as “Putting Dracula in charge of a blood bank. “

But the most grandiose part of the story is the appointment of
Mario Monti, the man for Internal Market, Customs and Taxation who runs Italy, not just a bank or a fund raising board but an entire country and De Facto Prime Minister of the Eurozone Latin Block.
You couldn't make it up....makes me want to read some real fiction..............It was a hazy sunrise in August.......

Eurozone Pain in Spain: To Catch a Falling Star and Put It in A Bailout

An endgame at last for the beleaguered Eurozone in it current form. This patient, already in an intensive care unit since last year is beginning to respond to diagnostic treatment prescribed by an array of observers, critics, specialists and skeptics.

And, it's finally decision time for Greece, Spain, Italy and France. Options are clear. You can stay in the club but under German leadership and German rules or leave the Eurozone, devalue and become more competitive.

An endgame at last for Stars of the Eurozone drama. How it is played out
we must wait for the last act.  2012 & London 1973
Can Spain stomach a full blown bailout. Can it sell the humiliation which goes with Troika stomping through Madrid. Can Rome and Paris secede power to the new powerful bankers who just last year were arrogantly flicking champagne over citizen protesters as they marched down Wall Street. Can French music drown out the jokes and the smug laughter of victorious technocrats clicking their fingers to demand how high French officials jump.

Not an accurate analysis I know. However, this is how it will all be perceived during the technocrat occupation of Madrid, Paris or Rome. There is also the possibility the Troika will be lucky to make it from the airport to the hotel in one piece.

The situation is almost clear. It's a new concert from when Greece leaves. Who dances with Germany down the line must be sure they know their steps in keeping up with the tempo. Who leaves the Eurozone must speed up reforms towards securing efforts to rejoining the zone. Or, sit and watch sullenly from the benches while a new Euro super-core waltz its way to dizzy heights.

Spain Hits the Wall.

The markets have gone after Spain. Italy is firmly in their crosshairs. Today Monday July 23 Spanish 10yr bond yields surged beyond 7% and into the zone most analysts regards as imminent sovereign bailout territory. Its credit rating is next to junk. It's back to summer madness 2012.

Viva Espana. From Moorish Andalusia to bars in Madrid, Spanish
submission or resistance to the notorious Troika will be tested soon. 2012
Two of Spain's regions Catalonia and Valencia are broke and seeking Madrid's help to pay the bills. Before the crisis Spain enjoyed a boom funded by North European Banks. Now they want their money back. Debt money talks louder than guns these days but the results are the same, pain and suffering.

Will the Spanish go along with a Troika (European Commission, IMF & European Central Bank) takeover of their country. Who controls the finances calls the shots is a favourite German expression.

But it can not go on like this much longer. Never in the history of conquest has a country submitted to aggressive Imperial will without some degree of resistance. In pledging total commitment to the Euro and the expansion of Superstate by financial coercion, the Troika (and this is now what it stands for) continues to alienate citizens from the very idea that more Europe is a good thing.

E.U. Crisis: Democracy Confronts Masters of the Universe.

Bank of France warned the whole world is at risk and Europe’s leaders still have failed to grasp the nettle. But what nettle.

Euro skeptics are adamant it is the fault of failed political European leadership. Those who created a flawed product, namely Der Euro, or those multi-kulti arrogant self centred wishy washy Federalists in Brussels. And now it's the austere puritanical Germans led by unmoving and unfeeling Chancellor Angela Merkel, de facto president of Art of Superstate.

Yes, there is some truth to these allegations. But then again, the blame game is always a bit of the truth surrounded by a whole heap of baloney.

The second truth is this crisis is part of a Banking industry spinning out of control and its activities as directed by Masters of the Universe.

The world is now much more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practised in past centuries. …....David Rockefeller at Bilderberg meeting Baden Baden 1991

Merkel recently broke a taboo to face down top bankers, as has UK politicians in the Libor interest rate fixing scandal. They have come to realise the catastrophe these reckless and feckless people are bringing on our society. More importantly they realise an imminent backlash, as citizens consider too big to fail is now becoming too powerful and threatening.

Tower Power. Frankfurt's financial district grows stronger and stronger. 2012
The real confrontation between society and the Masters of the Universe has yet to come. The muzzling of this wild and dangerous financial sector will not be an easy walk in the park.

Barclays former UK chief took on the British establishment. Barclays has “Wow” assets of $2.5tn, "Too big to fail". However he did fail and might now face criminal charges. Banks have also been caught out laundering money for a spectrum of criminals including Mexico's drug cartels. And to make matters worst up to 17 Trillion Euros of wealth is salted away in off shore accounts by the notorious 1% avoiding taxes, while placing the burden of bank debts and the austerity programme on the shoulders of society.

The financial industry is the cause of this present collapse and crisis. Since de regulation (Big Bang 1986) the Masters used their economic power to tear down laws, rules, and regulations introduced in the 1930's Great Depression specifically designed to protect society from this sector's greed.

By the year 2000 virtually all of those early shelters were dismantled. After 70 years of regulation it took just 7 short “Boom” years for today's unethical banking to bring us to this mess. And, the plausible unravelling of European Union.

Only war has a bigger negative impact on society than a full blown financial crises of this magnitude. ............The head of the ECB Mario Draghi recently proclaimed to Le Monde that the federalist EU project is misunderstood. All in fact is still OK. Mr Draghi was Goldman Sachs International vice-chairman for Europe between 2002 and 2005. He is alleged to have been part of the team which doctored Greece's application to join the Euro in the face of that country's glaring failings to meet the EU's economic criteria. He answered to the following questions;

So is the Euro still in danger?
No, absolutely not......that underestimates the political investment in this union, as well as the support of European citizens. The Euro is irrevocable!

Does your time at Goldman Sachs make you uncomfortable?
No, indeed, I value this experience of the world of finance and of the private sector.

..You support the calls for political union made by Angela Merkel
Moves towards a financial, and political union are inevitable. This will lead to the transfer of sovereignty. One must remember that with globalisation, it is precisely by sharing sovereignty that countries can better preserve it. In the long term, the Euro must be based on a greater degree of integration.

Meanwhile citizens are preparing for a breakdown scenario in 2013 by forcing their parliaments to work for sovereign democracy and not for globalist bankers.

The Great Euro-Coaster Ride. A Period of Devaluation to Soften the Crisis.

The Euro started out as paper money on Jan1 2002 at 1.62 to the British pound. By 2008 The British pound dipped for a brief moment below one to one.

A New Moon rising over the Euro sign at the ECB Frankfurt 2012
The Euro was on a roller coaster ride, made invincible, or so it thought, by the presence of four major economies, France Germany Italy and Spain. It didn't matter much if petty little peripherals got into a spot of bother, these wise guys would take care of their gang members and protect their turf. In return the smaller soldiers would tough it out, grow up a bit and eventually become more like their bigger mates on the street.

As we are told by wise guys, if you don't hit hard at others coming to take over your street they will break every bone in your body. Hesitation or a flash of fear in the defender's eyes sends Teddy Boy a signal to take out the studded belt.

In the end, modern society as we know is more than a street brawl. It is a complicated economic and social rhythm of highs and troughs. A roller coaster ride designed by nature and modern capitalism. In the face of continued gang (bond markets) onslaught it can be better just to retreat from the fight. Devalue and become competitive. The flawed Euro has no chance of winning in its present shape. It is time the Euro wise guys realised there are many alternatives on the street. The Euro can be redesigned if they put safety before face, community before greed, principals before selfishness and see that new moon rising.
