Let’s be clear about the role of the European Union (E.U.)
But wait, why hear my words when you can get it from the horse’s mouth.
“We’re not here to make a single market – that doesn’t
interest me - but to make a political union.” - Jacques Delors, 1993.
And who is Jacques Delors!
Jacques Lucien Jean Delors (born 20 July 1925) is a
French economist and politician, previously the eighth President of the
European Commission between January 1985 and January 1995.
Now remember there is a difference between Europe and the E.U.
The E.U. is like a company or association charged with the mission of creating
a Superstate. None know who will be in charge of the new Empire or whether it
will be a positive or a negative force in the world.
Among the many citizens across its 27 member states challenging
the E.U.’s mission to make a political union is the Mayor of London Boris
Johnston who says:
Sovereignty may prove to be the crucial topic for the English voter |
“We are seeing a slow and invisible process of legal
colonisation, as the EU infiltrates just about every area of public policy. A
vote to Remain will be taken in Brussels as a green light for more federalism,
and for the erosion of democracy.”
The Legacy of the E.U. by 2016 is a Europe divided and on
the cusp of forming an Army to fight in foreign wars. In the United Kingdom the
greatest decision in a generation to Leave or Remain will no doubt split the
country.
Is membership of this Union worth the deep lasting divisions
brought about with its obsession for a federal Europe!
Seemingly the answer is YES and NO depending on which way
you intent to vote. The PM has declared that leaving the EU will not restore sovereignty
to the UK. But that he has stopped the hemorrhaging of powers to Brussels.
Boris Johnston and others declare there might be still time
to save British democracy.
Make no mistake! This referendum will in the end focus on
these two words “British Democracy”
In the end it will come to dominate the debate over who is
prepared to give it away and who is prepared to save it.
